Central London (Hybrid) - £200-275/day umbrella - Professional Services
We are partnering with a high-growth professional services partnership based in London. They are looking to bring on an experienced, sharp, and self-motivated Assistant Management Accountant to step in immediately for an initial 3-month contract.
This role is ideal for a confident finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes strong personal ownership of month-end processes, and can hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of pulling together and processing a multi-line month-end accruals schedule (250–300 lines) across various business units, actively liaising with budget holders.
- Manage unrecoverable (WIP), liaising directly with Billing Managers to investigate unbilled time, stratify financial information, and process write-off forms.
- Track high-volume daily bank receipts, record cash movements in daily monitoring templates, and assist with bank account reconciliations.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ad hoc postings investigations, and statistical returns.

Your Background
- Accruals Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience managing month-end accruals independently within a mid-to-large finance function.
- Commercial Acumen: High degree of numeracy, confident problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret financial data and communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Qualifications: Active studier (ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW), relevant degree holder, or qualified by experience with a strong background in finance/accounting.
- Self-Starter Attitude: Robust, proactive approach with the ability to "read between the lines" and manage workload effectively.
