Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Waterloo, London (SE1)

We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join a fast-growing international technology organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative finance environment.
Working closely with the Finance Manager and Group Reporting team, you'll play a key role in supporting month-end reporting, financial analysis, compliance activities, and process improvements across multiple international entities.
This position offers exposure to global operations, senior stakeholders, and modern finance systems, making it an excellent next step for an ambitious finance professional.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Perform monthly P&L analysis and investigate key variances.
- Prepare month-end reporting commentary and financial insights.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Support ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and finance projects.

Month-End Close & Cost Management
- Prepare accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting.
- Support purchase ledger activities and cost coding.
- Review outstanding costs and support accurate month-end reporting.
- Contribute to group-wide month-end activities across multiple entities.
Audit & Compliance
- Support external audit processes and information requests.
- Assist with VAT calculations and statutory submissions.
- Contribute to corporate tax reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong financial controls and documentation standards.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting efficiency.
- Support the implementation and adoption of finance systems and automation tools.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a proactive and analytical mindset.
You will have:
- Good understanding of accruals, prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end processes.
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Previous experience (one to three years) in an Assistant Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong Excel skills (Pivots, LookUps).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A desire to learn, improve processes, and develop professionally.
- Experience within a multi-entity or international business would be advantageous.
