Are you looking for a finance role where you'll gain exposure far beyond month-end journals?

We're partnering with one of the UK's largest and most respected infrastructure and engineering organisations to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing finance team.

Supporting some of the country's most complex engineering, construction and industrial projects, this organisation employs thousands of people across the UK and continues to invest heavily in both its people and its finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their accounting career within a large, forward-thinking business that genuinely promotes internal progression. You'll work alongside experienced finance professionals, gain exposure to multiple areas of management accounting and business finance, and play a key role in supporting operational decision-making across the business.

Whether you're studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or simply looking to build on your finance experience, this role offers genuine long-term development within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Opportunity

As Assistant Management Accountant, you'll become an integral member of the finance team, supporting month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management and financial analysis across a busy, fast-paced operation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
