Role Description

The Assistant Manager role at Parkers Estate Agents is a full-time, on-site position based in Newbury. This role supports the Branch Manager in day-to-day operations, including overseeing property listings, coordinating viewings, and managing sales and lettings pipelines. The Assistant Manager helps lead the branch team, ensuring high standards of customer service, accurate documentation, and effective communication with buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants. Qualifications

  • Experience in residential property sales or lettings, with strong knowledge of estate agency processes and local market trends.
  • Customer service and client relationship management skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, negotiations, and conflict resolution professionally.
  • Team leadership and people management abilities, including mentoring staff, coordinating workloads, and supporting performance targets.
  • Organizational and administrative skills, including managing schedules, maintaining accurate records, and working effectively with property management systems.
  • Communication skills, with clear, professional verbal and written communication and confidence in face-to-face interactions.
  • Sales and business development mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, support local marketing, and contribute to branch growth.
  • Proficiency with common office software and digital tools, including email, spreadsheets, and online property platforms.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior negotiator role within estate agency or a related field is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., property or real estate certifications) and a valid driving license are advantageous.
