Assistant Manager | Oxfordshire | Up to £35,000 plus bonus and benefits

We're looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join an established team in Oxfordshire and play a key role in the continued success of the store.

This is a great opportunity for a confident retail professional who enjoys being on the shop floor, developing people and creating memorable customer experiences. You'll work closely with the Store Manager to keep the store performing at its best, while taking ownership of key areas of the operation and stepping up to lead the team when required.

The Role

  • Partner with the Store Manager to deliver strong commercial and operational performance across the store.
  • Take an active role in driving sales, encouraging the team to maximise every customer opportunity and consistently achieve targets.
  • Be a visible presence on the shop floor, setting the standard for exceptional service and building genuine relationships with customers.
  • Coach and support team members, helping individuals develop their confidence, product knowledge, and selling skills.
  • Take responsibility for opening and closing the store and confidently oversee the team in the Store Manager's absence.
  • Help maintain an inspiring and beautifully presented retail environment, with strong attention to visual standards and brand presentation.
  • Support stock management, deliveries, replenishment, and inventory accuracy to ensure the store is always commercially ready.
  • Keep a close eye on daily performance, using sales results and KPIs to identify opportunities and keep the team focused.
  • Assist with operational administration, rotas, expenses, and other areas of store management.
  • Deal confidently with customer queries and resolve any issues professionally, always protecting the customer and brand experience.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment where people feel supported, motivated, and encouraged to perform at their best.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
