We're recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join a leading outdoor and lifestyle retailer in Grasmere. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your retail management career with a growing business that's passionate about its people, products and customer experience.
As Assistant Manager, you'll support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store, leading your team to deliver exceptional customer service, strong commercial results and an outstanding shopping experience. What we're looking for
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Retail Supervisor or experienced Team Leader
- Experience working within a fast-paced retail environment
- A hands-on leader who enjoys coaching, developing and motivating a team
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Commercial awareness with experience driving sales and KPI performance
- Strong visual merchandising and operational standards
- A positive, energetic approach with a genuine passion for retail
Key responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day management of the retail store
- Lead, coach and inspire your team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Drive sales, commercial performance and store KPIs
- Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards throughout the store
- Ensure excellent stock management and operational standards
- Create a welcoming shopping environment for every customer
- Support recruitment, onboarding and team development
- Deputise for the Store Manager when required
