Role Description
The Assistant Manager will support the day-to-day running of Oranmore House, ensuring smooth operations across guest services, dining, and housekeeping. This full-time, on-site role in Ballymena includes supervising staff, coordinating shift schedules, and maintaining high standards of service and presentation throughout the property. The Assistant Manager will assist with reservations, guest check-in/check-out, and handling queries or concerns in a professional, solutions-focused manner. Responsibilities also include supporting food and beverage service, monitoring stock levels, overseeing health and safety compliance, and contributing to the delivery of a welcoming, memorable guest experience. The role involves working closely with the management team to implement operational improvements and uphold the guesthouse’s reputation for first-class hospitality.

- Experience in hospitality or guesthouse/hotel operations, including front-of-house and customer service responsibilities.
- Skills in team supervision, staff coordination, and scheduling to support efficient daily operations.
- Ability to oversee food and beverage service, including basic knowledge of restaurant or café procedures and standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail in maintaining a high-quality guest environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm, professional approach to guest interactions and problem-solving.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced setting, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Understanding of basic health, safety, and hygiene standards relevant to hospitality settings.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in hospitality is highly beneficial.
- Relevant training or certification in hospitality management or customer service is an advantage.
