Assistant Boutique Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Assistant Boutique Manager to play a leading role in driving the success of the store/counter, supporting the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and developing our team of Sales Associates to achieve all sales, customer service, and operational targets.
Ideal candidates will have proven supervisory, coaching, and retail operations skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
At Jo Malone London, bringing the brand’s generosity to life through exceptional customer service is critical. Fragrance, creativity, and warmth are at the heart of everything we do. As Assistant Boutique Manager, your role will include:
- Customer Experience Lead: Hosting visitors with “fragrant fun, curiosity, and kindness”, showcasing The World of Jo Malone London™ to customers, global colleagues, and corporate clients. Creating memorable encounters, from hand and arm massages to wedding consultations, floral crowns, chocolate tastings, and cocktail masterclasses.
- Elevating Events: Designing, organising, and executing in-store events to drive engagement and success.
- Store Management: Ensuring smooth operations, aligning the team with the Boutique and Brand vision, and supporting the Boutique Manager in all aspects of business leadership.
- Sales & Team Performance:
- Maximising sales performance and productivity.
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Leading team meetings, delivering feedback, and driving motivation.
- Operational Excellence:
- Managing inventory, stock, and VM (visual merchandising) standards.
- Facilitating omni-channel engagement, staying informed on competitor activity.
- Maintaining a clean, professional, and inspiring work environment.
- Administration & Collaboration:
- Handling administrative tasks efficiently.
- Building collaborative relationships across the department.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Proven retail management experience, preferably in cosmetics or prestige beauty.
- Strong supervisory skills with a track record of coaching/mentoring teams to meet sales and customer service targets.
- Experience in inventory management, cash reconciliation, and retail operations.
- Ability to facilitate business planning, including sales targeting, analysis, and staff scheduling.
- Hands-on experience in creating and executing in-store events and promotions.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) software and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural and customer-facing role.
