Assistant Manager – Restaurant, Bar & Entertainment

York
£30–32k + benefits

Are you an experienced Hospitality Manager, Bar Manager or Team Leader who loves being at the heart of a busy venue? Are you confident leading a team, running a shift and making sure everything runs smoothly? Looking for a role where you can take real responsibility and work closely with an experienced General Manager?

We’re delighted to be exclusively recruiting for an Assistant Manager on behalf of a successful and growing immersive entertainment business.

With a strong brand, a family feel and ambitious plans for growth, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at an exciting time. A brand-new York site is opening, incorporating a restaurant, bar and immersive games, and we’re looking for someone who can help bring the venue to life.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be right in the middle of the action. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll help lead the team, run shifts, maintain standards and make sure every customer has a great experience.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership when you’re on shift, make decisions, delegate effectively and keep things moving — while providing valuable support to the GM across the wider operation.

The Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll be a key part of the venue management team and the second-in-command on shift. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to deliver a high-performing, well-run venue, while taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation when you’re leading a shift.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
