Mammoth Screen, New Cavendish Street, London, W1W - expectation is Monday to Thursday in the office with the option to work from home on Fridays.

The team

Mammoth Screen, part of ITV Studios, is one of the UK’s leading drama production companies creating distinctive, high-quality television for audiences in the UK and around the world. Its productions include series such as Poldark, The Serpent and Endeavour and more recently Code of Silence, The Rapture and The Forsytes. Known for its ambitious storytelling, Mammoth Screen brings a wide range of compelling stories to life from contemporary thrillers to much-loved literary adaptations.

The role

  • Identifying and posting journals to maintain accurate reporting throughout the month as well as preparing the month end accounts pack.
  • Calculating royalties and payaways from distribution statements and maintaining trackers and analysis as needed.
  • Preparing key analysis and reports for productions including regional spend analysis.
  • Internal and external system set up as new productions start.
  • HMRC analysis, reporting and filing throughout the year including VAT, P11d, PAYE Settlement Agreements, Foreign Entertainers Unit, Section 16.
  • Maintaining reconciliations, trackers and liaising with colleagues to keep current records of development spend and commitments.
  • Working closely with the Accounts Assistant to help ensure weekly payment runs and mailbox enquiries continue to be dealt with during team annual leave or at busy periods.
  • Working closely with the Finance Manager to support Production Accountants and their teams during production including bank payment releases
  • Assisting with information required by independent reviewers and for the preparation of statutory accounts for group companies
  • Support the wider team with other relevant tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Relevant experience of working as part of a finance team
  • Experience preparing, supporting and delivering accurate financial information and analysis; demonstrating excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Practical experience of using Microsoft Excel for finance and/or data analysis.
  • Experience managing multiple finance tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience working with colleagues or stakeholders to obtain, check or communicate financial information (to financial and non-financial colleagues).

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Ability to prioritise competing deadlines, adapt when priorities change unexpectedly and manage other people's expectations.
  • Experience using Sage, SAP Concur invoice processing, Equals Cards, Barclays, Barclaycard preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and work constructively with finance and non-finance colleagues, build effective working relationships and respond appropriately to different perspectives.
  • Experience of working in television or media.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Knowing when to be proactive, when to ask for help and when to offer help.
