Assistant Manager- Full-Time
SPAR Express & Texaco Service Station, Kilkenny is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager (Full-Time) to join our team.
Working alongside the Store Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of our busy store and forecourt operation. You will lead the team during your shifts and help ensure excellent customer service, strong operational standards, and a positive working environment.
The Role:
- Lead and support the team during shifts to deliver excellent customer service.
- Take responsibility for the store and forecourt in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Oversee cash handling and stock control procedures.
- Ensure high standards are maintained across fresh food, merchandising, and store presentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, food safety, and health & safety requirements.
- Support the achievement of sales targets and overall store performance.

Requirements:
- Management experience in a fast-paced retail environment is essential.
- Extensive senior-level supervisory experience may also be considered.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings (up to 10pm) and weekends, in line with business needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong teamwork skills, commercial awareness, and a customer-focused approach.
- Experience in convenience retail, forecourt, or fresh food operations is an advantage.
