The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Basildon. This position supports day-to-day operations, including supervising staff, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring stock levels are maintained. The role involves working closely with the management team to oversee customer service, resolve issues, and support sales activities. The Assistant Manager will help implement operational procedures, monitor performance metrics, and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment. This role may also include liaising with suppliers, preparing reports, and assisting with training and development of team members.

Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff in a busy operational environment.
- Experience in customer service and relationship management, with clear and professional communication skills.
- Operational and organizational skills, including inventory control, scheduling, and basic reporting.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Previous experience in construction materials, groundwork, civil, utility, or landscaping supply is an advantage.
- Proficiency with basic office software and point-of-sale or inventory systems.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Basildon and adapt to a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
- Relevant vocational qualifications or supervisory experience in a similar setting are beneficial.
