Assistant Manager – Leading Leisure & Entertainment Brand
Leicester £28,000 + Bonus
Are you a high-energy people person who loves being in the middle of the action?
We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join a leading leisure and entertainment venue in Leicester. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone from a leisure, hospitality, fitness or customer-focused background who loves leading teams, creating great experiences and working in a fast-paced environment.
This definitely isn’t a role where you’ll spend your day sitting in an office. You’ll be front and centre, supporting the day-to-day operation, motivating your team, engaging with guests and making sure the venue is delivering a brilliant experience from open to close.
You’ll work closely with the General Manager, helping to drive standards, develop the team and keep everything running smoothly across a busy, multi-faceted operation.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating and developing the team
- Delivering fantastic customer experiences and creating those all-important WOW moments
- Being highly visible across the venue and getting involved when things get busy
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the site
- Helping drive sales and commercial performance
- Supporting food & beverage operations, stock and service standards
- Ensuring health, safety and compliance standards are maintained
- Opening and closing the venue and taking responsibility for shifts
- Creating a fun, positive and energetic environment for both the team and guests

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
