Assistant Manager – Luxury Retail | £37,000 | London

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and helping a store team achieve outstanding results?
This is a full-time, permanent, in-person role working 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays.
The role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join a successful retail business in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused retail professional who enjoys working with customers, developing teams and supporting the day-to-day success of a busy store environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Support the Store Manager with the daily running of the store
- Lead, motivate and support a team to achieve sales targets and KPIs
- Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers
- Coach team members to improve confidence, product knowledge and performance
- Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing team development
- Assist with stock management, operational processes and compliance
- Maintain high standards across the store environment
- Handle customer enquiries and help resolve any issues professionally
- Support the delivery of a consistent and engaging in-store experience

About the opportunity
You will be joining an established retail organisation operating within a premium market, where customer experience, quality and service are at the heart of the business.
The person
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in retail leadership, ideally within premium, luxury or high-value retail
- Experience managing or supervising a team
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and commercial goals
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Confidence coaching, supporting and developing colleagues
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A professional approach with strong attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, results-driven approach to retail management
