As an Assistant Manager within Operations for Isio Private Office and Investment Management, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, client-focused operational support while helping scale a growing wealth and investment proposition. Working closely with Portfolio Management, Distribution, and wider teams, you will support the expansion of our Model Portfolio Service (MPS), Managed Accounts, and Funds business.
You’ll balance day-to-day operational delivery with project execution and continuous improvement, ensuring processes across the client lifecycle are efficient, well-controlled, and scalable.
Success in this role means becoming a trusted operational partner — known for delivering accurate outcomes, managing projects end-to-end, and building strong relationships with stakeholders, platforms, and custodians. You will help develop robust, scalable processes that support growth without compromising control or quality.
Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do
Client & Business Servicing
- Provide operational support across Private Office and Investment Management, enabling our client delivery teams.
- Support client onboarding, account set‑up, and ongoing account maintenance.
- Ensure operational instructions are completed accurately and within agreed timelines and SLAs.
- Maintain high service standards through clear ownership and proactive communication.
Portfolio Management
- Work closely with the Portfolio Management team to support MPS, managed account and fund implementation and ongoing delivery, including:
- Supporting implementation of portfolio changes and rebalance activity.
- Ensure processes, controls, and documentation are robust and scalable as the MPS grows.
- Work closely with the Distribution team to sell and expand Isio’s MPS offering across multiple platforms and build relationships with Independent Financial Advisors to win business.
Funds, Platform & Custody Support
- Provide operational support to the Funds business and associated client servicing.
- Act as a key operational contact and interface for our outsourced partners.
- Help manage platform/custodian service interaction, including:
- Query resolution and escalation management.
- Tracking outstanding items and ensuring closure.
- Identifying recurring issues and driving improvements.

Project Delivery & Transitions
- Project manage portfolio implementations and client or asset transitions.
- Apply strong project management discipline including implementation planning (timelines), tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Document processes, decisions, and outcomes to support governance and audit requirements.
Operational Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure operational tasks are delivered with a strong focus on:
- Accuracy and completeness.
- Governance, auditability, and recordkeeping.
- Risk identification and escalation where appropriate.
- Contribute to building scalable operations by:
- Identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
- Creating/checking templates, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
Stakeholder Management & Strategic Support
- Work with senior colleagues to support business goals by:
- Providing operational insight and data to enable decision‑making and drive growth.
- Helping turn strategic aims into operational delivery.
- Building credibility and trust across the Private Office and Investment Management business.
Regulatory, Risk & Governance
- Support best execution processes and associated operational controls.
- Maintain accurate records to support audit trails and regulatory reviews.
- Contribute information to governance committees and internal oversight forums as required.
What we're looking for:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong project management skills and structured approach to delivery.
- Able to adapt and perform in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on control, accuracy, and governance.
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft 365 applications.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Good working knowledge of the platforms and experience working with custodians.
- Exposure to portfolio implementation or transition activity for Private Office, Wealth, or Institutional clients.
- Investment Management Certificate desirable.
