Company Description

Join us at Walnut Tree Farm

Are you ready to take the next step in your hospitality career?

We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team at Walnut Tree Farm in Nursling, a busy and popular Farmhouse Inns site where great food, great service and great people are at the heart of everything we do.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager who wants to develop their leadership skills and play a key role in a high-volume pub.

From our famous carvery and pub classics to breakfast, our freshly baked cakes and family-friendly play areas, there is always something happening at Walnut Tree Farm.

Job Description

What you'll do

As Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to lead the team and run the pub, making sure every guest receives the warm, welcoming Farmhouse experience we're known for.

  • You'll be a visible leader on every shift, motivating your team, setting high standards and making sure we deliver great service even when we're at our busiest.
  • You'll support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub, taking ownership of everything from team performance and guest experience to sales, standards, stock, health and safety and compliance.
  • You'll coach and develop your team, helping them build confidence, learn new skills and progress their careers, while creating a positive environment where people enjoy coming to work.
  • And when you're running the shift, you'll be the person the team looks to — making decisions, solving problems and keeping everything running smoothly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
