Assistant Manager | Luxury Retail | South-West London | Up to £37,000 + Bonus & Benefits

An exciting opportunity has opened for a motivated and commercially minded Assistant Manager to join a respected luxury retailer celebrated for high-quality collections, amazing in-store experience, and global presence.

This position is perfect for a confident retail leader who enjoys working in a luxury environment and is dedicated to creating an outstanding, customer-centric shopping experience.

What you'll be doing as Assistant Manager:

  • Work closely with the Store Manager to support the overall performance of the store, stepping into the lead role and overseeing the team whenever required.
  • Create a friendly, engaging, and customer-focused environment by demonstrating excellent standards of service and professionalism throughout the day.
  • Lead, encourage, and develop team members through ongoing feedback, coaching, and support to help them perform at their best.
  • Play an active role in building the team, including supporting interviews, new starter training, induction, and ongoing development.
  • Monitor inventory requirements and coordinate regular and seasonal purchasing to ensure the store has the right products available without unnecessary excess stock.
  • Plan and manage team schedules according to expected business levels, maintaining strong service standards while keeping staffing expenditure under control.
  • Keep the stockroom clean, orderly, and efficient, ensuring deliveries are stored appropriately and stock is rotated correctly to minimize waste and maintain product quality.
  • Take responsibility for the appearance and presentation of the store, ensuring the customer-facing environment reflects the company's expected standards and overall brand image.
