Company Description

đŸ» Ready to take your next step in hospitality?

Are you an experienced Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader looking for a role where you can really make your mark?

Doctor’s Tonic is a lively Urban Social pub in Welwyn Garden City, and we're looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team and help take the business forward.

With live sport, DJs, quizzes, live music, function space, a large garden and plenty of personality, there's always something happening at Doctor’s Tonic.

If you love busy pubs, great teams and creating brilliant experiences for customers, you could be exactly who we're looking for.

âšœ Why Doctor’s Tonic?

Because no two shifts are quite the same.

Doctor’s Tonic is a social pub with a real community feel, welcoming around 160 guests across two floors, with a large front garden and space for functions and celebrations.

We're passionate about live sport, with Sky Sports and TNT Sports showing the big games, and have a particularly strong following from Arsenal fans.

When the football isn't on, there's still plenty happening – from Monday quiz nights to DJs on Friday and Saturday, alongside live music and private events.

We're looking for an Assistant Manager who wants to be part of the action, develop their team and help shape the future of the pub.

Job Description

🚀 What's the opportunity?

As Assistant Manager, you'll be a key part of the management team, working closely with the General Manager to run the pub and drive the business forward.

This isn't a role where you'll simply be waiting for the next step.

You'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, take ownership and grow your career while helping make Doctor’s Tonic a great place to work and visit.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
