Valuations at Interpath

Valuations at Interpath is an established international service line with an exceptional reputation for delivery to clients across specialist valuations areas including restructuring, litigation, commercial, and financial reporting purposes. The team provide critical insights into the valuation of assets such as businesses, shares, and intangible assets.

We are expanding our UK-based Valuations team and we are recruiting for an Assistant Manager. Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will engage with a variety of clients on high-profile valuation assignments while developing wide-ranging valuations knowledge and skill set.

Typical Projects Include:

  • Business valuations
  • Share and equity valuations
  • Intangible asset valuations
  • Accounting valuations (for example – purchase price allocations)
  • Tax valuations (for example share valuations for management incentive schemes)
  • Litigation and dispute-related valuations
  • Commercial valuations
  • Restructuring and insolvency valuations
  • Fair value assessments
  • Expert determinations and independent opinions
  • Shareholder and partnership dispute valuations
  • Transaction and M&A valuations

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conduct detailed research on industries, comparable companies, and transactions to inform valuation processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models and perform detailed analysis to support valuations.
  • Interpret financial statements and relevant financial data to construct meaningful conclusions and recommendations.
  • Effectively communicate valuation analysis and results to clients and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the analysis of comparable transactions and quoted companies.
  • Apply research and analysis to appraise business plans and assess risk & reward.
  • Attend site visits and meet management teams to better understand clients and business.
  • Prepare first draft valuations and present internally.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new approaches and improvement strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CFA (or equivalent) – previous experience in Audit is beneficial
  • A strong interest in developing a career in Deals / M&A combined and exposure to valuation methodologies and financial modelling is advantageous
  • Well-developed analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client service
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Time management skills, with ability to prioritise competing project deadlines
