Job Title: Assistant Market Advisor

Location: Manchester or London

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will play a leading role in shaping and delivering strategic initiatives across the UK market, driving high-impact marketing, communications, and PR programmes that support Enterprise Ireland's key objectives. Working closely with Enterprise Ireland’s UK leadership team and across the organisation, they will lead the development and execution of key events and strengthen the organisation's profile in the UK, supporting the growth ambitions of Irish companies in the UK market, delivering service excellence for our clients.

The role is based in either Manchester or London and covers activity across the whole of the UK including Scotland.

Key Deliverables

Strategic Marketing, Communications & PR

  • Lead the development and delivery of the UK Marketing, Communications, PR, and Social Media strategy, working with UK Leadership team and Ireland to align activity with Enterprise Ireland’s objectives, strengthen UK market visibility, and enhance Enterprise Ireland’s profile.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing, communications, PR activities, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and communications across all UK activity aligned with UK Strategy.

Strategic Projects

  • Lead the strategic planning, project management, and delivery of high-profile events, trade missions, seminars, workshops, and stakeholder engagements across the UK.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and priority projects on behalf of UK leadership, ensuring delivery of defined objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Produce executive-level briefings, reports, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations for UK leadership and the Regional Director.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence outcomes and support strategic objectives.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement, identifying new opportunities to enhance Enterprise Ireland's services, communications, and market positioning.
  • Represent Enterprise Ireland at external events, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements, acting as an ambassador for the organisation and Ireland's enterprise sector.

Operational, Administrative, and Team Support:

  • Provide operations and team support as required across the UK team, including client liaison, meeting scheduling, travel planning, and briefing materials.

Functional Competencies

  • Strong marketing, communications, and PR experience is essential, with experience in developing clear messaging, managing campaigns, and delivering high-quality content for varied audiences.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills are essential, with experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines, events, and stakeholder requirements effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills are essential, to engage confidently with colleagues, clients, partners, industry stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • High-quality written and verbal communication skills are essential, with experience preparing briefings, reports, presentations, and digital communications to a professional standard.
  • Analytical with commercial awareness and use of insight are desirable, to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
