Assistant Marketing Manager – Browns Brasserie & Bar
Are you a passionate, curious and creative marketer who loves building brands, creating memorable guest experiences and delivering commercially successful campaigns?
We’re looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager to join the team at Browns Brasserie & Bar, one of the UK’s best-loved British brasserie and bar brands. Located in landmark city-centre locations across the UK, Browns combines elegant surroundings, quality food and drink and memorable hospitality.
This is a permanent opportunity to work across brand, digital, CRM, campaigns and proposition development, helping to bring the Browns experience to life and giving guests more reasons to visit, book and return.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering the Browns marketing plan and driving brand performance.
You’ll take ownership of a number of important commercial areas, including key dates and occasions, group bookings and private dining, the drinks proposition and CRM, alongside owning the delivery of wider brand and digital campaigns.
You’ll combine creativity with commercial thinking, using guest insight and performance data to develop activity that builds awareness, increases engagement and, importantly, drives bookings, visits, frequency, sales and profit.
Your Role Will Include
- Supporting the development and delivery of the Browns digital marketing plan, driving reach, awareness, engagement and conversion.
- Creating compelling digital and in-restaurant marketing assets that bring the Browns brand and guest experience to life.
- Supporting and driving the brand's digital agenda across the website, app, social media and other digital platforms.
- Owning the Browns CRM plan, developing activity that grows the database, strengthens guest loyalty and increases visit frequency.
- Developing and delivering key-date and occasion-led propositions and campaigns that give guests compelling reasons to choose Browns.
- Owning and developing the drinks proposition, helping to create market-leading drinks menus and working with suppliers and partners to deliver engaging activations.
- Managing campaigns from initial idea and briefing through to execution and evaluation, ensuring activity is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Using data, guest insight and campaign performance to continually improve activity and identify new opportunities.
- Working closely with internal teams, restaurant teams, agencies and suppliers to ensure campaigns are brought to life consistently across the Browns estate.
- Managing the Browns campaign calendar and delivering clear, engaging communications and briefs to restaurant teams.
- Contributing to Browns' sales, profit and market-share ambitions, ensuring marketing activity delivers measurable commercial results.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
