Assistant Marketing Manager

We’re supporting a high-growth consumer brand in the sport and performance sector to appoint an ambitious Assistant Marketing Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded marketer who loves sport, lifestyle products, and bringing innovative ideas to life across brand, product, and trade marketing channels.

Working closely with Product Development, Sales, Digital, E-commerce, and external creative partners, you’ll help deliver brand strategies, product launches, and integrated campaigns that engage consumers and energize retail partners.

This role suits someone ready to step up, broaden their marketing capability, and grow into a future Brand Manager.

⭐ What You’ll Be Doing

Brand & Trade Marketing

  • Support annual brand and trade marketing plans.
  • Help execute strategies that grow awareness, market share, and commercial performance.
  • Maintain consistent brand identity across all touchpoints.
  • Monitor competitor activity and emerging trends in sport, lifestyle, and performance categories.

Product Launch & Portfolio Support

  • Assist with planning and executing new product launches and rate-of-sale initiatives.
  • Coordinate timelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support packaging development, product claims, technical information, and marketing assets.
  • Maintain product information and contribute to lifecycle management.

Consumer & Market Insights

  • Analyse consumer behaviour, player feedback, market trends, and category performance.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product positioning and engagement.

Marketing Campaigns & Content

  • Support integrated campaigns across digital, social, retail, events, and partnerships.
  • Work with creative agencies and internal teams to deliver compelling storytelling.
  • Assist with campaign briefs, promotional materials, and sales support tools.
  • Track campaign performance and recommend optimization.

Commercial & Sales Support

  • Partner with Sales and E-commerce teams on commercial initiatives.
  • Prepare presentations, sell-in materials, and retailer marketing plans.
  • Track product performance, sales data, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Help activate strong in-store and retailer online marketing plans.

Budget & Reporting

  • Monitor marketing spend and maintain tracking processes.
  • Prepare reports covering sales trends, campaign metrics, and brand KPIs.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews.

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in brand, product, or trade marketing.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Highly organised with strong project management capability.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management, or related field.

Desirable:

  • Experience in sports performance products, fitness, nutrition, apparel, or consumer goods.
  • Understanding of player marketing, sponsorships, or influencer programmes.
  • Experience using analytics and market research platforms.
  • Passion for sport, health, performance, or lifestyle products.
