Welcome to Smallworld Accessories đź–¤

If you’ve landed here looking for your next Merchandising opportunity, let us introduce ourselves...

We’re a market-leading fashion accessories concession partner, creating and delivering trend-led ranges for some of the UK’s best-known retailers, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, and Next – with our products reaching customers across more than 1,500 stores throughout the UK.

Our business continues to grow and evolve as we expand our Merchandising team, with multiple Assistant Merchandiser opportunities available – making this a great time to join Smallworld and be part of what comes next.

Jewellery, hair accessories, sunglasses, belts, children’s accessories, Back to School, licensed products, and seasonal collections – the list goes on. We’re always looking ahead, exploring new opportunities and responding to trends and changing customer demand.

Behind it all is a talented mix of creative, commercial, and operational teams. From Design, Buying, and Merchandising at our HQ to our nationwide field-based Operations team, we work together across the product lifecycle – from creating our ranges through to seeing how they perform in stores across the country.

For Merchandising, that means being close to the product, the numbers, and the decisions that shape performance.

Where Merchandising Makes Its Mark

This is a role where your analysis and commercial thinking matter – but so do your ideas. Working closely with the wider Merchandising team, alongside Buying and Design, you’ll play an active part in understanding how our ranges are trading across a varied portfolio of categories – spotting risks and opportunities and helping turn that insight into action across our store portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll get involved across weekly trade, WSSI, forecasting, and reforecasting, alongside stock, allocation, and replenishment, using the numbers to help make informed commercial decisions and ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.

We want people who bring ideas, stay curious, and enjoy being part of a team. You’ll have the opportunity to guide and develop an MAA and work closely with more senior members of the Merchandising team as your experience grows.

Maybe This Sounds Like Your Next Move...

You’ll already have experience within a Merchandising team, with a good understanding of stock, allocation, and trading, alongside exposure to WSSI and forecasting. You’ll be comfortable working with data and Excel, analyzing performance, and using the numbers to support your thinking.

We also know that great talent doesn’t always fit neatly into a job title. Merchandising structures and levels vary across retail, so while we’re recruiting for Assistant Merchandisers, we’re interested in the experience and potential you could bring. You might be an established Assistant Merchandiser looking for more scope, or already operating at Senior Assistant Merchandiser level and looking for a new challenge. For us, it’s about finding great talent for the future – understanding what you can bring, where you want to take your career, and whether Smallworld could be the right place to help you get there.
