About the Role

As an Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll support the Merchandiser in delivering effective planning, trading, and stock management across your product area. Working collaboratively with Buying and wider business teams, you’ll analyse performance, identify opportunities, and help drive improved sales, margin, and availability. You’ll also deputise for the Merchandiser when required and play a pivotal role in maintaining strong supplier and internal relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the creation of seasonal and in-season plans, producing range plans, forecasts, and analysis to drive commercial decisions.
  • Monitoring category performance, stock, and Open-To-Buy, highlighting risks and opportunities and taking action to optimise results.
  • Managing weekly and monthly trading reports, ensuring accuracy and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Overseeing intake and delivery schedules, resolving shipment issues, and ensuring availability on key lines.
  • Guiding and supporting Merchandise Admin Assistants, helping create a high-performing, collaborative team environment.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
