Location: On-Site Leyland HQ and Travel to our Skelmersdale Site

Salary: Up to £32K PA

Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week 08:30 – 16:30

MFI, part of the Victorian Plumbing family, is an exclusively online store that offers stylish and practical pieces to elevate the home. From bedroom to dining room, we offer a carefully curated range that allows our customers to create beautiful spaces.

Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for e-commerce and home interiors? Do you thrive when managing data, tracking global supply chains, and keeping operations running like clockwork?

MFI is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp, organised, and proactive Assistant Merchandiser to join our team.

MFI is a purely online destination for stylish, practical home furnishings. In this role, you won’t just be crunching numbers – you’ll be the engine room behind our stock availability, ensuring our customers can always find the pieces they need to create beautiful spaces.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be the go-to person for keeping our commercial engine running. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Take full ownership of our stock management system, ensuring absolute accuracy across the board.
  • From raising purchase orders to tracking shipments from our domestic and international partners, you’ll ensure stock lands where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.
  • You’ll turn data into direction by compiling daily inventory reports, helping our team analyse sell-through rates, cover weeks, and overall KPIs.
  • You’ll be a vital communicator, liaising with buyers, warehouse team, logistics partners, and suppliers to flag potential delays before they happen.
  • Whether it's troubleshooting delivery discrepancies, supporting the finance team with reconciliation, or updating our site with accurate pre-order dates, you’ll be the essential link between our departments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who loves detail and understands that small adjustments in data can make a big impact on commercial success.

  • You’re at home in a spreadsheet. Pivot tables, LOOKUPs, and more complex formulae are second nature to you.
  • You enjoy identifying trends, working with figures, and using data to solve problems.
  • You can manage tight deadlines and high-volume tasks without losing your focus or your accuracy.
  • You are comfortable liaising with external suppliers and internal stakeholders with equal professionalism and confidence.
  • You have a genuine passion for the home interior market and a sharp eye for the latest e-commerce trends.
  • While a degree in business, math, or a retail-related field is a plus, your practical experience in merchandising or a complex administrative environment is what matters most.
