The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Assistant Merchandiser to support the day-to-day merchandising and operational activities of our business. This role is ideal for someone passionate about jewellery with excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. The Assistant Merchandiser will support the merchandising function by assisting with sales analysis, stock and order management, product data accuracy, and operational reporting. The role focuses on developing strong commercial and analytical skills while ensuring smooth order flow and accurate data across systems.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Reporting Support

  • Assist with weekly, monthly, and adhoc sales reports by retailer and product category.
  • Support market week preparation, including retailer sales data and analysis packs.
  • Maintain basic Power BI / Excel reports under guidance.
  • Support fulfilment reporting by comparing incoming POs versus shipped sales orders.

Stock & Order Management

  • Assist with raising and maintaining Sales Orders (SOs) in Cin7.
  • Support checks on pricing accuracy, discounts, and stock allocations.
  • Monitor incoming purchase orders and stock availability, highlighting risks or shortages.
  • Assist with core/basics replenishment planning by tracking sell-through and reorder requirements.
  • Maintain visibility of open stock, inbound deliveries, and warehouse availability.
  • Liaise with warehouses regarding bookings, deliveries, and stock movements.
  • Support timely flow of fashion stock through the warehouse.

Systems & Data Accuracy (Cin 7)

  • Maintain accurate product data, pricing, stock levels, and delivery dates in Cin7.
  • Assist with data accuracy for BI and reporting purposes.
  • Follow established processes to ensure system data integrity.

Product Data & Order Forms

  • Support setup of new products and styles in Cin7 with correct specifications.
  • Assist in maintaining core range data and correct labelling.
  • Help update weekly UK open order forms.
  • Help to keep the Bibles for all brands updated with the latest information.

Returns, Claims & Stock Control

  • Assist in processing returns, shortages, and insurance claims.
  • Support annual stock takes and ad hoc stock checks.
  • Help reconcile stock discrepancies and report findings.

Compliance & Administration Support

  • Assist in maintaining test certificates and compliance documentation.

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Strong interest in jewellery preferred.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power BI desirable.
  • Proactive and eager to learn.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Strong aesthetic sense aligned with fashion brands.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

  • You have experience as a MAA or AM and are looking to continue developing your merchandising career.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in accuracy.
  • You are confident managing multiple priorities and are able to communicate clearly and professionally and enjoy working collaboratively across merchandising, sales, and logistics to ensure products are delivered on time.
  • You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with large Excel data sets.
  • You have a genuine passion for jewellery, fashion, or luxury products and an eye for quality, trends, and presentation.
  • You are proactive, reliable, and take ownership of your work while continuously looking for ways to improve processes.
