About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Assistant Merchandiser to join a desirable high street clothing brand. The brand is renowned for their collections that reflect current trends and attract a variety of customers across all divisions on womenswear, menswear, and teenwear, making it a one-stop shop for many shoppers. It’s values resonate with many customers from inclusivity, sustainability, and affordability.
By having exceptional forecasting and analytical skills, the assistant merchandiser plays a crucial role in supporting the merchandisers to drive sales and optimize profitability. You will be responsible for managing product performance, analysing markdown, reviewing OTB, overseeing end-of monthly, quarterly, and yearly lessons-learnt and presenting back to the team.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with buying, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure product launches are met. The role reports directly into a Senior Merchandiser and Head of Merchandising, so you will get lots of exposure and development.
Responsibilities
- Supporting merchandisers to drive sales and optimize profitability
- Managing product performance
- Analyzing markdown
- Reviewing OTB
- Overseeing end-of monthly, quarterly, and yearly lessons-learnt

Requirements
- Highly confident using the WSSI, OTB, and forecasting their own product categories
- An analytical mindset and approach problem-solving tasks with confidence
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Confident presenting and leading strategies and sign-offs for your product areas
- Liaising with the buying team and having product knowledge to manage product assortments and range planning based on market trends
