Role Overview

Are you a passionate and experienced early years professional ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? We’re looking for a dedicated Assistant Nursery Manager to join our team and support the day-to-day running of a high-quality nursery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and deputise for the Nursery Manager in all areas of nursery operations.
  • Lead and mentor staff, driving a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous development.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and EYFS/Ofsted standards are fully met.
  • Oversee curriculum delivery, child development tracking, and SEND support.
  • Build strong relationships with parents through clear communication and regular updates.
  • Maintain health & safety standards, complete risk assessments, and manage incidents.
  • Assist with business operations including staffing, budgets, and administration.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above preferred).
  • At least 2 years’ management experience in an early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Paediatric First Aid & DSL certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Confident with digital systems (e.g., parent apps, online observations).
  • A positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
