We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Nursery Manager to join our team at Busy Bees Enfield.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who wants to develop their leadership skills, support a talented team, and play an important role in the day-to-day running of a busy nursery.

Your role
As Assistant Nursery Manager, you’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
You’ll be a visible and approachable leader, supporting your team to deliver high-quality care, learning, and experiences for every child.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the nursery
- Leading, motivating, and developing the team
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care, and learning
- Supporting the delivery of our Bee Curious curriculum
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Supporting staff development, supervision, and performance
- Helping to create an environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn
- Contributing to the nursery’s ongoing improvement and development
This is a hands-on leadership role, so you’ll be someone who enjoys being part of the nursery community and is happy to get involved wherever you’re needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Centre Director in overseeing the daily operations and maintaining educational standards.
- Assist in developing and delivering an engaging, high-quality curriculum tailored to the needs of children.
- Ensure the centre complies with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintains high safety and health standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team.
- Lead efforts to enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and promoting a positive centre experience for families.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, payroll, and recruitment.
- Manage operational records and support financial planning to ensure sustainability.
Ideal Candidate
- An approved Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
- Experience within an early years setting, with leadership or supervisory experience ideally as either a Assistant Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager.
- Proven track record of ensuring educational excellence and curriculum development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a focus on teamwork.
- Experience in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and health and safety protocols.
