✨The role...
As our SEO & GEO Copywriter you will be responsible for transforming the Superdrug.com eCommerce experience by levelling up our site copy. This spans our FAQ, Product, Category, Landing pages as well as reinvigorating the Superdrug Blog as a space to educate our customers on trends, our range and great beauty tips and advice.
Here's the exciting bit…a great day includes:
- Expert knowledge
As the SEO & GEO copy expert for the business; share, educate and introduce best practice across internal Online Business and Supplier teams to improve our ranking for searches in SERPs and offsite AI recommendation tools by:- Creating “how-to-guides” for best practice product descriptions for our suppliers and marketplace vendors, alongside CR, design and trading teams to develop best-in-class product page.
- Working with our Own Brand product development team to support in the development of SEO friendly product descriptions and content that are compliant with regulations.
- Developing best-in-class landing page copy for seasonal moments.
- Results Driven Report on our performance on traditional Search Engines and AI recommendation tools to the business and make actionable plans to optimise.

Digital Content Plan
Develop and implement a content calendar for Superdrug’s blog by:- Working with the Insights and Digital Marketing team to identify emerging trends and create.

Stay Informed
Keep up to date with external developments and opportunities across SEM A. Share knowledge internally to support development of Digital Marketing strategy and stay one step ahead of competition.
👩🦱What you’ll do:
- Generate detailed customer focused initiatives, in line with the Online Business Customer and Marketing – SD strategy and support with execution.
- Listen to the customer and implement new ideas and ways of working which are designed to improve service considering both Online and Offline.
- Ensure the team prioritises actions which delight the customer/team member.
- Customer Focus: Be the voice of customers and orchestrate the organisation to live the brand purpose and inspire a customer-first culture to build customer love in every touchpoint of our online and offline platform.
- Tech & AI: Helping your team understand when to use AI, when to rely on human judgment, and how to combine both.
- Tech & AI: Rethinking how work gets done - Actively shifting work from repetitive tasks to higher-value activities as AI takes on routine work.
- Tech & AI: Role modelling behaviours to encourage confidence with AI. Actively developing your ability to use AI effectively and think critically about outputs.
- Tech & AI: Strengthen Human Touch - Keeping the human element strong: Balancing AI efficiency with human coaching, empathy, and team cohesion.
👨💻What you’ll need to succeed:
- 1-2 years experience in an SEO content and copy focused role, managing tactics and campaigns.
- Ideally experience working a fast-paced retail head office.
- Strong Copy writing skills.
- Strong IT skills – MS Office, Excel.
- Knowledge of Hybris ideal but not essential & Google Analytics.
- A hands-on, get stuck in, approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are key.
- Excellent time management and an ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Establishes strong relationships at all levels.
- Can manage tough/complex messages with all stakeholders.
- Role model collaboration to the team to exceed goals.
- Positive attitude towards feedback, uses this to generate initiatives to meet/exceed expectations, and shares feedback in a meaningful way.
- Effectively manages their team by playing to strengths and proactively addressing its opportunities. Ensuring everyone wellbeing & diversity is considered and celebrated.
- Feels empowered to challenge across different career bands and roles. Supporting other team members in shaping their work to do so.
- Proactively keeps up to date with market and consumer trends in their specialism and feeds this into department strategy.

- Uses data to inform and generate new ideas and make decisions to improve on future plans.
