Assistant Operations Manager (Events)
Location: Chalk Farm, London (Hybrid)
Starting Salary: £26,000 - 28,000 per year (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
3 Days In-Office, 2 days working from home (after initial training)
About Us
Booths By Lux is one of London’s leading premium photo booth and event entertainment companies. We provide luxury photo booth experiences for corporate events, brand activations, weddings and private parties across London and the UK.
We’re looking for our first Assistant Operations Manager to work directly with the founder and become a key part of the business.
This isn’t just an admin role. It’s an opportunity to learn every aspect of running a growing events company, with a clear progression path into managing the day-to-day operation.
The Role
Every day is different. You’ll split your time between office-based administration, customer service and helping prepare our equipment for upcoming events.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering sales enquiries by phone and email
- Preparing quotations and responding to customer enquiries
- Scheduling and booking our freelance event staff
- Preparing basic event graphics and templates (full training provided)
- Managing diaries and event logistics
- Assisting with social media scheduling and content
- Supporting LinkedIn outreach and business development
- Preparing photo booth equipment ready for events
- Performing quality checks on equipment before and after hire
- Helping improve systems and processes as the business grows

About You
We’re much more interested in attitude than industry experience.
You’ll probably be someone who:
- Is organised and enjoys keeping things running smoothly
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys speaking with customers
- Is confident using computers and learning new software
- Takes initiative rather than waiting to be asked
- Is reliable, positive and enjoys solving problems
- Doesn’t mind getting hands-on preparing equipment as well as working in the office

Experience within events, hospitality, retail management, customer service or office administration would be an advantage, but is not essential.
What We Offer
- £26,000 starting salary
- 35-hour working week

Working Pattern
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday: Office (Chalk Farm)
- Tuesday & Thursday: Remote (after training)
- 9:30am–5:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
