Job Title: Assistant Payroll Manager (Bureau)
Location: Harrow
Hybrid: Yes (3 days in the office)
Salary: £45,000 + Discretionary Bonus
The Role
You will play a key role in the successful delivery of payroll services for a portfolio of UK clients, ranging from 1 to 200 employees. Working closely with clients throughout the payroll cycle, you will ensure a consistently high level of service while maintaining accuracy, meeting SLA requirements and ensuring full legislative compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and processing a portfolio of UK client payrolls across multiple frequencies.
- Taking ownership of the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing a professional and responsive service.
- Ensuring all payrolls are processed in line with current UK legislation and statutory requirements.
- Managing payroll queries and resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
- Working to agreed SLAs and deadlines across a varied client portfolio.
- Supporting the implementation and onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into the payroll service.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and understanding their individual payroll requirements.
- Supporting the wider payroll team and contributing to the continued improvement of processes and service delivery.

About You
- Managing multiple UK client payrolls across different frequencies.
- Working to strict SLA and deadline requirements.
- Client relationship management and delivering a high level of service.
- New payroll implementations and client onboarding.
- Resolving complex payroll queries and providing payroll guidance.
- Managing a varied portfolio and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
