Role Overview

To work with the payroll team in helping to ensure that payroll is delivered accurately, compliantly and on time. You will be office based, 5 days a week, working in our Richmond Head office.

Main Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of the payment of staff salaries through the current payroll software for approximately 800 employees.
  • Process Starters & Leavers.
  • Ensuring all new employees are compliant with UK Border Agency requirements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll / personnel records for all employees.
  • Process approved overtime payments, commission payments, expenses and any other authorised additional payments.
  • Process, Monitor and calculate SMP, SSP and SPP.
  • Ensure correct deductions from employees pay in respect of the company pension scheme.
  • Ensure that monies from employees such as advances, overpayments, till shortages are suitable recovered.
  • Provide advice to staff and managers in relation to pay, taxation and National insurance.
  • Help produce all relevant end year reports e.g. P60’s.
  • Complete various forms required by HMRC, Jobcentre Plus, Courts etc.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as may be directed by the Company.

About You

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Some proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Previous payroll experience desirable but not essential.
