Talented people are the key to our success.

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure delivers some of the UK’s most complex and critical infrastructure projects across a range of sectors, connecting people, places, and communities through responsible infrastructure delivery.

Job description:

The Assistant 4D Planner supports the development, maintenance and use of 4D models to help site teams understand and deliver the plan. They focus on collecting, organising and updating information from safety, procurement, commercial and engineering teams so that the 4D model accurately reflects the latest intent, constraints and status of the works. This role is an entry pathway into 4D planning, aimed at someone with strong digital skills and an interest in construction sequencing, who can provide practical support to the Section 4D Planner and the wider delivery team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Section 4D Planner in building and updating 4D models for defined sections of work, including basic sequencing, object assignment and visual checks.
  • Liaise with safety (SHEQ) teams to capture key safety constraints, exclusion zones, access routes and phasing requirements and ensure these are reflected in the 4D model and associated views.
  • Support procurement by tracking key material and equipment delivery dates and feeding this information into short term 4D sequences and look ahead reviews.
  • Work with commercial teams to align 4D views with key milestones, payment events and compensation event assessments, helping to provide visual evidence where requested.
  • Support site engineers (on-site) in using the 4D model to review planned methods, access and temporary works, and to communicate sequences to supervisors and operatives.
  • Help gather and structure programme, model and progress data from multiple sources (e.g. planners, site diaries, progress reports) ready for use by the Section 4D Planner.
  • Maintain basic model housekeeping for section 4D files (layering, naming, viewpoints, saved animations) in line with project standards.
  • Prepare simple visualisations, screenshots and short animations to support inductions, safety briefings, method statement reviews and stakeholder meetings.
  • Record and update progress information at element or activity level under guidance from the Section 4D Planner, supporting visual progress reviews.
  • Flag data gaps, inconsistencies or clashes in the information provided by other functions and escalate them promptly to the Section 4D Planner.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
