Assistant Planner / Planner

£40,000 – £50,000 | London

We’re working with a highly regarded planning and development consultancy on an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Planner / Planner to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines planning expertise with strong commercial awareness and is looking to take the next step in their career within the property and development sector. You’ll work on a diverse range of high-profile and complex development projects, gaining valuable exposure across the development lifecycle and working closely with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams. The role offers genuine scope to develop your technical planning knowledge while strengthening your commercial and client-facing skills.

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in planning, property or development, ideally within a consultancy or commercially focused environment.
  • Experience working on retail and/or office-led projects.
  • A solid understanding of the planning and development process.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an interest in property, development and investment.
  • Excellent communication, client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • A degree in Planning, Town Planning, Property, Real Estate or a related discipline.
  • RTPI-accredited qualifications and/or progress towards MRTPI would be advantageous.
