Role Description
The Assistant Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Tilbury, supporting the planning and delivery of construction projects. The role involves assisting with the preparation, updating, and monitoring of project programs, timelines, and resource schedules in line with client and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting and analyzing project data
- Maintain planning records
- Contribute to progress reports and risk assessments
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and office staff to ensure accurate information flow
- Update planning software and documentation
- Support the identification of efficiencies and value engineering opportunities
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Support continuous improvement in planning processes

Qualifications
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage schedules, timelines, and project documentation accurately.
- Competence in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with project planning or scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is beneficial.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in reviewing data, reports, and program information.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with site teams, project managers, and office staff.
- Understanding of construction processes, health and safety principles, and basic commercial awareness within the construction industry.
- Ability to work on-site in Tilbury, demonstrating reliability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning.
- Relevant education in construction, engineering, project management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in developing a career in planning within a construction environment and willingness to undertake further training and professional development.
