Job Description & Person Specification >

The Planning Department is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Service Support Technician to work in our fast-paced, innovative, and supportive team.

Previous experience of Development Management/Planning is desirable but not essential. We believe this is an exciting opportunity that would suit an individual who enjoys working in a stimulating, customer-focused environment, who has an eye for detail and accuracy, and is looking for a new challenge.

The work of the Planning Support Team is varied, including registering and advertising applications using IT systems bespoke to the service, researching and answering Planning-related queries in e-mails and over the phone, and providing a wide range of administrative support to the Planning team. Full in-house training will be provided, but you should be willing to learn new skills and able to utilize these to provide an excellent service to our customers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
