Therapy Assistant Practitioner in Neuro Rehabilitation
We are looking for a Therapy Assistant Practitioner with a special interest and extensive experience in neuro rehabilitation to join our Liverpool Community Neuro Rehab Team.
Our team is a specialist integrated team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, working together to provide intervention for adults in the community setting covering the Liverpool footprint.
If you’re passionate in helping patients living with neurological conditions, this is an exciting opportunity to support them to maximise independence, function and quality of life within their own homes.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan and implement individualised programmes of care within the skills and competencies expected of the role
- Work collaboratively within the team and with other providers to deliver local and national health priorities and objectives
- Deliver therapeutic interventions in line with national quality and standards and Trust policies.
- Actively support work colleagues and patients with compassion and courage acting as at their advocate and champion
- Be accountable for own clinical practice
- Work within the skills and competencies expected of the role
- Communicate effectively with patients and carers recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcome different levels of understanding, cultural background and preferred ways of communication
- Lead on health promotion
- Support clinical staff in managing long term conditions
- Participate in supervisions, development sessions, undertake all relevant mandatory training
- Participate in audits as required by the organisation
- Travel across the footprint of the organisation
