Job Description

We are recruiting for a Radiology Assistant Practitioner who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We are seeking to recruit either a qualified Radiography Assistant Practitioner with a SCoR approved certificate of Higher Education (or equivalent) in Radiography with the drive to develop their clinical skills, as well as a desire to deliver excellent care to our patients. Applications from Radiographers returning to practice or who have not been able to find a job following qualification are also welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a limited range of general radiographic procedures under instruction and supervision from qualified radiographers.
  • Undertake general radiographic procedures on adult ambulant patients adhering to departmental protocols under the supervision of a qualified radiographer.
  • Provide basic administrative support to Radiologists and Radiographers in the clinical environment.

The Radiology department has CR/DR systems, integrated with Philips PACS and encompass a comprehensive range of equipment including DR general and dental rooms, flat plate interventional room, hybrid theatre, CT, MRI, Breast Imaging, DXA Scanning, Spect CT scanner, and a wide range of Ultrasound services. The Trust currently has 5 CT scanners and 3 MRI scanners.

Working Environment

This post requires 7 day working and you will rotate between the Lister Hospital, QEII Hospital and Hertford County Hospital.
