Assistant Producer

Major Players are partnering with an award-winning B2B creative communications agency, to hire an Assistant Producer, to play a key role in planning production shoots, manage logistics, coordinate teams and ensure projects run smoothly. You'll also have the opportunity to lead smaller projects independently while supporting larger campaigns across live action, animation and post-production.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Support Producers in delivering multiple video projects simultaneously.
  • Take ownership of smaller projects from brief through to delivery.
  • Create production schedules, timelines and project plans.
  • Ensure projects remain on track against deadlines and budgets.
  • Maintain project documentation throughout production.

Pre-Production

  • Assist with creative development and production planning.
  • Source crew, freelancers, locations and suppliers.
  • Obtain quotes and negotiate costs.
  • Prepare call sheets, production schedules, risk assessments and release forms.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation and logistics.
  • Coordinate casting where required.

Production

  • Attend shoots as part of the production team.
  • Manage production logistics on set.
  • Act as a key point of contact for crew, contributors and suppliers.
  • Ensure productions run safely, efficiently and to schedule.
  • Resolve production challenges quickly and calmly.

Post-Production

  • Coordinate edits between editors and clients.
  • Manage review and approval processes.
  • Track feedback and ensure revisions are completed.
  • Oversee delivery of final assets across required formats.
  • Assist with music licensing and stock footage sourcing where required.

Client & Team Communication

  • Build positive relationships with clients throughout production.
  • Attend project meetings and take detailed notes.
  • Keep clients informed with regular project updates.
  • Work collaboratively with creatives, designers, editors and account teams.

Budget Management

  • Assist with creating production budgets.
  • Raise purchase orders and manage production costs.
  • Track project spend against budget.
  • Process supplier invoices and reconcile project costs.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a production role within an agency, production company or in-house team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating shoots and production logistics.
  • Good understanding of commercial production workflows.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with project management software.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience producing smaller commercial projects independently.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and production finance.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience using Frame.io or similar review platforms.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience across live action, animation and motion graphics.

Hours: Full time

Salary: up to £40,000, depending on experience
Office Location: Central London
Office Requirements: 3 days per week in the office
