The role of the Assistant Producer - Digital is to contribute to the production of market-leading digital sports video and audio and ensure its timely delivery for publication across Sky Sports Digital Media platforms (www.skysports.com, and Sky Sports Mobile applications), and third party distribution channels.
The role also requires collaboration and communication with the editorial and social teams in Sky Sports Digital as well as more widely with Sky Sports News and Sky Sports Content teams.
Reporting to the Producer - Digital Video this is a key role that will ensure Sky Sports remains the destination of choice for sports fans, creates revenue opportunities and continues to add value to the Sky Sports subscription.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver sports news content that reflects the ongoing news agenda as well as reacting to live content through video analysis
- Create and publish high-quality sports news video content for all platforms, including everyday news content, features and creative news explainers
- Ensure the delivery and presentation of sports news digital video in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with the production of studio shoots via the Sky Sports News studio and Vertical camera with reporters and journalists
- Occasionally produce and oversee streams and red button productions in ECR
- Assist in production of audio podcasts across sports and sports news, sometimes working with Sports Content teams, delivering promotional material for wider use on social platforms
- Ensure best practices for SEO are applied at all times

Essential Criteria
- Experience of editing and producing sports content services, particularly in the digital space
- A creative style with a view to telling Sports news in a way that an audience can understand
- Significant sports journalism experience and demonstrable experience in multimedia production. Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a working knowledge of media law
- An understanding of new and emerging media technologies and platforms and experience of delivering content services to each
- Experience working within complex and multidimensional work environments, managing multiple stakeholders with different objectives
- Good knowledge of video production and video production software such as Avid, Adobe and Grabyo
- Experience and knowledge of audio and podcast production and publishing
