Candour Productions is Hiring an Assistant Producer

Candour Productions is seeking an experienced ASSISTANT PRODUCER to join our team for a 12 x 60 documentary series. This role is ideal for a resourceful, proactive individual with strong journalistic instincts, excellent research skills, and the confidence to uncover and pursue compelling stories.

About the Role

This fast-turnaround, story-led production focuses on uncovering and developing compelling stories. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable to changing priorities, and bring energy, humor, and a can-do approach to our busy production. Some of the subject matter is sensitive and can be upsetting at times, so we're looking for someone comfortable working on challenging stories with professionalism, empathy, and sound editorial judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Story Producer and wider team to identify and develop stories
  • Research contributors and provide editorial support throughout all stages of production
  • Conduct in-depth research and produce clear, accurate briefing notes
  • Secure access, support shoot set-ups, and manage logistics

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
