Position Description: We seek a colleague who investigates the chemical, mineralogical, and physical composition of the solid Earth and its interactions with other Earth systems. We welcome candidates whose interdisciplinary research integrates geological observations with analytical, experimental, and/or theoretical approaches and complements existing strengths in the department. Candidates should demonstrate a record of scholarly achievement and an original research program with strong potential to attract external funding.
Job Duties:
- The selected candidate will provide supervision and mentorship to a diverse cohort of undergraduate and graduate students
- Contribute to field-, laboratory-, and classroom-based teaching by delivering courses in mineralogy, petrology, and other topics in their field of expertise
- All McGill faculty are expected to engage in service activities within their unit, the university, and the broader scholarly community
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- The selected candidate must have a PhD in the Earth Sciences at the time of appointment

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
