About the Role
We are recruiting to ASU London and we require staff to contribute across our Engineering and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence programmes.
Academics teaching on our programmes should generally be skilled in guiding students through real-world challenges, supporting multidisciplinary teamwork, and using industry-standard tools and workflows given the highly practical, project-based pedagogy we have. They should be confident embedding sustainability, ethics, inclusivity, and responsible innovation into their teaching, reflecting the programme’s emphasis on professional identity and societal impact.
The role requires the following programme-specific expertise: BEng Engineering with Artificial Intelligence: Candidates will need strong foundations in engineering principles, mathematics, computational methods, and the application of AI and machine learning to real-world engineering problems. They should also be capable of fostering students’ research capability, technical fluency, and confidence in applying AI-enabled engineering solutions across the curriculum.
Candidates will also need experience of teaching cyber security to Level 6.
About You
Qualifications / Professional Membership
- Doctorate in relevant subject (or equivalent professional / industry experience)
- PGCert in Learning & Teaching in HE or Equivalent
- Fellowship of HEA (Descriptor 2 of UKPSF)

Teaching & Learning
- Deliver high-quality PG teaching, using varied methods and technologies.
- Design modules and contribute to programme structure.
- Lead modules of study and attend exam boards.
- Supervise UG dissertations and PG taught projects.
- Collaborate with partners on real-world projects.
Research, Scholarship &/or Practice
- Establish independent research /practice profile.
- Publish in peer-reviewed outlets.
- Apply for small / medium funding.
- Disseminate via conferences, exhibitions.
Knowledge Exchange & External Engagement
- Build professional networks.
- Apply research to external partnerships.
- Present at conferences.
Academic Citizenship & Leadership
- Take on departmental administrative duties (e.g., Admissions Tutor, Ethics Lead).
- Support programme and curriculum management.
- Work collaboratively across teams.
