Our Mission

Coventry University Group is a global education provider dedicated to Creating Better Futures. We are driven by the belief that through education, equity, and innovation, we empower our students, people, and communities to transform their lives.

Central to our 2030 Strategy is the ambitious growth of our School of Health and Care to meet the evolving health needs of the future locally, nationally, and globally. To enable this, our School has evolved into Coventry University Health and Care Limited. This agile, autonomous structure allows us to push boundaries and foster closer partnerships, enabling us to scale our provision and widen access to rewarding careers across the health and social care sector.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Coventry University and The University of Warwick as an Assistant Professor (Teaching) within either the clinical or academic stream.

We are currently recruiting to 2 vacancies and welcome applicants looking for either full or part time opportunities. We are able to offer appointments between 0.4 FTE and 1.0 FTE.

This Doctorate is a joint collaboration between Coventry University, the University of Warwick, Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, other NHS providers, and NHS England. The programme is committed to developing reflective practitioners and advancing innovation in clinical psychology education. We are therefore inviting applications from HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists for our Clinical Tutor and Academic Tutor roles. Successful applicants will work collaboratively with the relevant Clinical and Academic Course Leads, who will provide oversight and support under the direction of the Programme Director.

The post holders will be based within the CU Health and Care and will work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
