Assistant Programme Officer | 11034 | 2 Year Fixed Term Contract | 37 hours per week | £30,023 to £32,046 per annum | (Grade F) | County Hall, Norwich

The Environment Service is looking for a motivated and organised Assistant Programme Officer to join the Programme and Contracts Team. You will provide administrative and financial support across a wide range of environmental projects and services, ensuring financial, procurement and administrative processes are completed accurately and in line with Council policies and external funder requirements.

You will work closely with managers, project officers and delivery teams, supporting budget monitoring, procurement activity, invoicing, grant claims and financial reporting. You will play an important role in helping projects and services run efficiently while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with required procedures and standards.

The Environment Service delivers a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects that support environmental improvement, climate change objectives across Norfolk. Projects range from large, high profile externally funded programmes to local community initiatives, each with varying financial, reporting and contractual requirements.

You will be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and be confident working with financial information. You will have strong administrative skills, be able to manage competing priorities and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers and external stakeholders. Experience of financial administration, procurement or grant funded projects would be advantageous.
