Core Purpose of the Role
To support the Project Management team in managing project lifecycles, maintaining quality, controlling budgets, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams (Architects, Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, and Contractors) to meet client objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Project Inception & Planning
- Strategy & Briefing: Help craft comprehensive scope definition documents, client requirements, and Project Execution Plans (PEPs).
- Consultant Engagement: Draft scope-of-work papers and secure appointment documentation across design consultants and technical advisors.
- Filing & Systems Setup: Establish structured QA document management, project directory structures, and governance documentation across project gateways.
2. Operational Delivery & Reporting
- Schedule Oversight: Track project schedules via software such as MS Project, delivering regular progress dashboards and narrative reports for client updates.
- Meeting Facilitation: Coordinate, host, and document formal project sessions, issuing actionable records and meeting agendas.
- Cross-Team Integration: Serve as a primary point of contact connecting clients, design advisors, main contractors, and internal specialists.
3. Risk Management & Commercial Controls
- Risk Control: Facilitate risk review sessions and keep risk registers systematically updated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Instruction & Variation Admin: Manage formal change workflows, issuing instruction notices (PMI, EAI, CAI) using standard template frameworks.
- Cost Alignment: Contribute to cost optimisation and value management reviews to protect agreed budgets.

4. Tendering & Contract Administration
- Procurement Execution: Assist in compiling tendering documentation, developing strategy reports, and reviewing bidder submissions.
- Contractual Oversight: Administer standard industry building contracts (such as NEC or JCT) throughout post-award stages.
5. On-Site Monitoring & Closeout
- Site Reviews: Perform structured inspections to confirm work quality, track progress, and monitor H&S / CDM compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Lead defect management procedures, maintaining accurate inspection lists through to the resolution of rectification periods.
- Handover & Lessons Learned: Facilitate project handover protocols, final accounting procedures, and post-occupancy reviews.
