The Company:

OXBO are partnered with a fast-growing Renewable Energy IPP looking to hire a Assistant Project Manager to their collaborative and social Glasgow team.

The Role:

As Assistant Project Manager you will assist in the delivery of utility-scale Solar and BESS projects from pre-construction through to handover to O&M.

Support in management of overall delivery of multiple utility-scale Solar and BESS construction projects. Assist in the management of all aspects of projects, including Construction, Health & Safety, and quality standards across sites. Support and manage grid agreement interfaces, general engineering activities, procuring and contract administration. Proactively identify construction risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to protect programme and cost. Monitor and report deviations to scope, schedule, or budget, providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders. Undertake development and O&M works in order to gain all round knowledge of project life cycles.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience within the renewable energy industry, within the development and delivery phases.
  • Experience should be within Solar PV, Batter Storage (BESS) or Onshore wind projects (other industries with suitable transferrable skills will also be considered).
  • Experience in contract preparation, negotiation and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of UK & Ireland Construction, CDM, Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Understanding of Grid operators and connection processes.
  • Confident communicator with stakeholders and contractor management skills.
  • Ability to manage several project tasks at once and able to plan and prioritise.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required.
