Role Description
We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager (Construction) to take on a key project-based role in Cardiff. In this role, you will support Kingswood's project management functions from the first briefing through to the post-construction stage, contributing to the continued growth of our company.
Working as part of a wider project team, managing other consultants and contractors on behalf of the Client and working with the operational requirements of the incumbent Tenant the role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, and the successful person will have a love of ‘working in the detail’. Our Assistant Project Manager will be able to manage their time effectively, be comfortable with working to deadlines and take shared ownership of project deliverables, making sure that the project is executed to the high standards we and our client expects.

The Assistant Project Manager will be encouraged to gain professional membership with guidance and career mentoring from senior leadership and will have the opportunity to get a wider understanding of the Real Estate world by spending time with our Development Monitoring, Technical Due Diligence and Building Services teams.
You'll also play a role in Kingswood's growth by helping to identify and develop new clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Supporting the Project Director in the successful delivery of a £50 million project.
- Supporting the delivery of services in line with the agreed processes and systems utilized throughout the project.
- Supporting the production of project reports, and documentation.
- Monitoring and documenting project progress and other performance indicators including maintaining risk registers and information required registers.
- Tracking and documenting changes.
- Supporting the preparation of written project communication materials.
- Assisting in the preparation of formal project progress reports and other reports.
- Communicating appropriately with clients, contractors and designers.
- Attending Client, Tenant and Contractor meetings.

Experience
- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar Project Management Consultancy or Construction business.
- An understanding of the professional service and/or building/property industry (desirable).
- Demonstrate ability to create bespoke documentation to a high level.
- Ability to use AI to improve reporting and documentation.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or similar experience.
- Student membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, APM).
