Assistant Project Manager
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £38,479.36 per annum, 42.5 hours per week, plus car allowance
We are looking for an organised and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of capital works and maintenance programmes across a range of housing and property contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project management experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer outcomes.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of multiple projects, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and clients. You will help ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality, compliance, and health and safety standards.
Duties
- Support the delivery of capital works and maintenance programmes from planning through to completion.
- Track project progress, monitor performance, and provide accurate reporting.
- Produce forecasts, KPI reports, and updates for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with budget monitoring, resource planning, and programme coordination.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and operational teams to drive project success.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety, quality, and company standards.
- Promote a positive customer experience and support wider business operations as required.
Key Criteria
- Strong Excel skills with experience producing detailed reports and executive summaries.
- Project management experience across multiple sites and high-volume programmes.
- Experience managing, monitoring, and reporting project progress.
- Experience of forecasting, programming, and performance reporting.
- Business administration experience.
- Experience managing subcontractors.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience using Power BI to present and analyse data sets.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.

Desirable
- Prince2 or other project, construction, or pre-construction management qualifications.
- HNC/HND in Construction or Building Services.
- Degree-level qualification in Construction or Building Services.
- Experience delivering refurbishment, regeneration, or construction projects.
- Experience working within Social Housing.
- Full UK driving licence.
